Heather Christie is a music artist, vocal activator, expressive arts therapy facilitator, and “musicpreneur" mentor from California. She trained at the Tamalpa Institute in Marin for Expressive Arts Therapy, received her yoga teacher certification from Danyasa in Costa Rica, and originated a college course at the University of Washington on somatic connection. She is pursuing her certification with the Clive Davis School of Recorded Music at NYU, and has studied under notable music biz specialists Rick Barker (helped launch Taylor Swift’s career), Cari Cole, and Steve Palfreyman. She also teaches at Shakti Sound, a music production retreat aimed to uplift women in music production. Heather was briefly on American Idol in 2016.
Her lifelong relationship with the voice has blossomed into an expertise of vocal empowerment through songwriting and production. Heather works in Ableton Live and coaches her students in this DAW. Her education in the fields of modern music business, singing, performance art, and expressive arts therapy co-create a rich tapestry where students can reach out to Heather for support that ties their music career together in a heartfelt way. Heather’s ethos is one where passion leads the way, and the spirit, technique, and business of music intersect. She guides students to anchor to their uniqueness through the modern day music industry.
